White Ribbon’s aim is to prevent violence against women and girls by addressing its root causes. The organisation works with men and boys to change long-established, and harmful, attitudes, systems and behaviours around rigid gender norms and masculinity that perpetuate inequality and violence.

Being a White Ribbon Ambassador or Champion is an effective and meaningful way to demonstrate a commitment to ending men’s violence against women and girls. Across the UK, White Ribbon’s diverse network of Ambassadors and Champions advocate for the White Ribbon message in workplaces and communities, playing a crucial role in the organisation’s efforts.
White Ribbon Ambassadors are men and people who identify as men who take on this responsibility by promoting the White Ribbon message in their workplaces, communities, and among friends, family, and colleagues.
White Ribbon Champions are women and people who do not identify as men. They promote the White Ribbon message, encourage and challenge men to get involved, and find opportunities to inspire and inform. Champions also hold the organisation accountable and ensure that women’s voices are central to its work.
