Policies and procedures checklists
Policies and procedures provide the framework within which an organisation operates.
The policies and procedures an organisation needs will depend on a number of things such as the type of work they do and the size of the organisation.
These documents must reflect both the organisation and its service(s) to be effective and easy to implement.
Whilst some policies and procedures are considered best practice to have in place, others are a legal obligation, for example:
- Employment
- Equal opportunities
- Data protection
- Health and safety.
On occasion, funders may ask to view specific policies and procedures (e.g. Safeguarding Adults) as part of their funding application.
