CGL Newham Rise - 10 year celebration event
Change Grow Live is celebrating its efforts over the past decade, in providing drug and alcohol treatment services in Newham. With support from Newham Council, the organisation is holding a special event, which will also mark it being reawarded the contract to continue to support residents. It will be held from 10am-3.30pm on Thursday 7 November at the Highway Vineyard Church, 88A Romford Road, Stratford, London, E15 4EH.
Having delivered services over the last 10 years, CGL is proud to have worked with more than 11,000 people from our borough, supporting them to achieve their recovery goals and lead healthier, happier lives.
The organisation will be continuing to develop the service, largely by working with the local community to ensure it’s more trauma-informed, culturally competent and suitable for the needs of the local community. It is expanding its reach, developing new satellites and bringing treatment to places which feel safe and comfortable to residents. CGL is also widening its psychosocial offer and will continue to work with partners, including Build on Belief, Release, Driving for Change and Taqlis. Harm reduction and preventative work will remain a priority, steering people away from the criminal justice system and supporting people to reintegrate into the community and back to work.
The 10 year celebration event will reflect on achievements, celebrating the children and adults who have been supported, while also outlining the service’s vision, mission and aims. The celebration will also include guest speakers, an open table activity, music and food provided by local colleges and businesses.
Doors will open at 9.30am for a 10am start!
Lunch, and refreshments will be provided.
