16 days of Activism
The Global 16 Days of Activism is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls.
This year we are challenging domestic abuse against survivors of all genders and identities during16 Days of Action running from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, to Human Rights Day on 10 December.
We are holding a calendar of events throughout the period with workshops, in person advice stalls and talks from organisations including Hestia, London Black Women’s Project, Newham HPAS, East London Rape Crisis, IKWRO, Ashiana, Victim Support, DWP, Positive East and Newham University Hospital.
Events will include presentations on domestic abuse support, sexual violence services, understanding harmful practises, homelessness, welfare benefit support, supporting those with HIV, healthy relationships, supporting male and LGBTQ+ survivors and the provision of culturally specific therapeutic work in Newham
Events are open to all residents, professionals and those who live and work in Newham ( age 16+).
