Apply for sheltered housing
There are three main criteria that you will need to meet to apply. You should be:
- Over 60 years old and a Newham resident, or live in one of our out-of-borough properties
- Able to live independently with the support of staff on-site
- An existing Newham Council tenant, a tenant of a private landlord or be living with family or friends in Newham.
People who own their own home do not usually qualify for sheltered housing.
