Safeguarding Adults Week
Safeguarding Adults Week 2025
Join us on Wednesday 19 November 2025, 11am–4pm at Stratford Library, for a free event celebrating our shared commitment to creating a safer, more supportive Newham for all adults.
This year’s theme, “Prevention: Act Before Abuse,” shines a light on the power of early action and community awareness. Whether you're a resident, carer, or professional, you play a vital role in building a borough where adults are safe, respected, and empowered to live well.
Connect with teams working to protect and support our community—including:
- Public Health
- London Fire Brigade (Bluewatch)
- Community Safety Team
- Hestia
- The Family Hub
- Change Grow Live
- Client Affairs Team
- Women4Women at Positive East and more.
Explore stalls, access expert advice, and discover practical resources that help prevent harm before it happens—all while working together to strengthen Newham, where prevention, partnership, and care are at the heart of everything we do.
