Safeguarding is about people and organisations working together to prevent and stop both the risks and experience of abuse or neglect. This year focuses on Working Together and we have collaborated with our partners and residents to create a hybrid calendar of events aimed at fostering safer cultures within Newham. Events include:
- Monday 18 November - In person community engagement event for residents – places can be booked via an Eventbrite link
- Tuesday 19 November - Bite sized online videos about trauma informed practice
- Thursday 21 November - Learning from SAR’s
- Thursday 21 November - Cuckooing: Multi-Agency Safeguarding, Powers and Practice
- Friday 22 November - a presentation on care leaving work, focusing on safeguarding
- Friday 22 November – The Iris Programme. What can GP practices do to support domestic and sexual violence survivors?
