Learning Disability Resident Advisory Group
The Learning Disability Resident Advisory Group (LDRAG) members meet quarterly to:
- Share ideas and give views on the issues affecting adults with learning disabilities
- Share information about services, activities and events
- Take part in shaping future plans
- Participate in the co-design of services and products
- Support how we deliver the Learning Disability Action Plan
How to get involved in the Resident Advisory Group
You must:
- Have a Learning Disability diagnosis
- Be aged 18 years or older
- Live in Newham or receive health services/social care services from Newham

You do not need experience or qualifications to join the Resident Advisory Group. We want residents from all backgrounds to join in.
You do not have to attend every meeting.

Recruitment
We have recruited to the following roles taken up by Learning Disability Resident Advisory Group members:
- A Co-chair of the Learning Disability Resident Advisory Group
- A Co-chair of the Learning Disability Action Plan Delivery Board
We are in the process of recruiting to the following role:
- Learning Disabilities Carers Representative

Speak out Newham drop-in group
VoiceAbility is hosting the Speak out Newham drop-in group at Chargeable Lane Resource Centre on the second Monday of every month, running from 1pm to 4pm.
- 1-2pm is dedicated time for people with a learning disability
- 2-3pm is for both communities, Learning Disability and Autism
- 3-4pm is dedicated time for people with Autism
The next Newham drop-in session takes place on Monday 9 January from 1pm to 4pm. You can just turn up, but to find out more contact Trish by emailing trish.moody@voiceability.org.
