BSL Support

Our in-house day opportunities service is based at The Resource Centre, Chargeable Lane and supports people to live their lives at home and within the community.

Older people services

We support older people to achieve the best possible quality of life, irrespective of illness or disability.

Our services are designed to promote:

  • Dignity
  • Choice
  • Respect
  • Independence

This is maintained in a fun and interactive enivornment.

Our team provide services to enable people to develop and maintain resilience, skills and personal well being through meaningful activity. We help people to discover new talents, practice those that might be rusty and relearn those that might have become lost.

This is achieved through a wide range of activities including:

  • Practical, domestic and everyday life skills
  • Arts
  • Crafts
  • Performance
  • Recreational activities
  • Fitness and wellbeing
  • Accessible gym facilities.

Dementia Specialists

We support people with dementia to continue to live within the community. We facilitate and promote choice, dignity and respect. Our services are inclusive and celebrate individuality while respecting diversity.

The people we support come from a wide variety of cultural, linguistic, ethnic and social backgrounds and so do our staff. Our fully qualified and experienced team prides itself on providing a high quality service to people, families and carers living with dementia.

We offer also cognitive stimulation therapy. This evidence based programme helps people with milder dementia to maintain their every day skills, independence and involvement in life.

Fitness & Wellbeing

We provide a high quality, health and wellbeing service for people with disabilities and those with short or long term health conditions. We support people who feel physically or socially excluded from accessing mainstream and commercial facilities to improve their health and wellbeing.

We offer specialist equipment, instruction and support to help people improve or maintain their health and fitness.

Accessible Gym

We operate an accessible gym that is quite different to mainstream facilities. Our equipment is adjustable and suitable for wheelchair users. The environment is calm, spacious and free from loud music and television screens.

Our team is experienced in supporting people with a wide range of disabilities and health conditions. This includes:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Autistic spectrum conditions
  • Stroke survivors
  • Older people including those with dementia.
