How to download the app
- Unlock your phone. Scroll through your phone to find an app called App Store” or “Google Play Store”. Tap on it to launch it.
- Tap on the search bar. Type in “NHS COVID-19”. You can now see a list of results below the box. Tap on a result with the name “NHS COVID-19 app”.
- Android link
- Apple link
- There will be a list of results of different COVID-19 apps. Find one with the NHS COVID-19 logo (see example above). When you see the logo on your phone, tap to download it.
- Once the app is downloaded, open it and follow the instructions within the app.
If you are having difficulty installing the app on your phone, or are unsure of what to do, ask for help from friends or family. If you do not have friends or family that can help contact your local library contact our Newham COVID-19 helpline 020 7473 9711 or email covidhelp@community-links.org

How can I help others to download the app?
Our Voluntary and Community Sector, faith organisations, and friends and family members will play a key role in helping people to download and use the NHS Test and Trace app. Below are a set of resources that will help you explain to others how the app works, and step by step instructions on how to download the app. There is also a list of frequently asked questions which may help to answer any questions or concerns you or the person you are helping may have.
