Community Arts Grants Autumn 2024

The Community Arts Grants is a fund that local individuals, groups and organisations can apply for to deliver events for an autumn programme. They demonstrate Newham Council’s commitment to supporting artists and organisations to develop high quality arts and cultural activities, that celebrate the diversity of local communities and shine a light on creative talent, with activity unfolding across the borough. Individuals, groups and organisations are invited to contribute to:

Black History Month

A month of celebration, creativity and recognition, responding to the theme of “Reclaiming Narratives”. The aim is to deliver an engaging, vibrant and accessible programme that celebrates the culture, history and achievements that Black African and Caribbean people have brought to Newham and the UK.

Islamophobia Awareness Month

A month aimed at raising awareness of Islamophobia in society, responding to the theme of “Seeds of Change”. The aim is to deliver programme that showcases the positive contributions of Muslims in Newham and the UK.
