Information for landlords
If you are a landlord and the bins or bags at your property are usually collected from the street, it is your responsibility to tell your tenants to comply with the timed collections.
Information for businesses
If you run a business in a timed collection zone, you need to put out your waste during the times on the collection days above. If you use a private company to collect your waste, you must make sure that they know there are timed collections in operation in the area.

Timed waste collections: Information for businesses using private waste contractors
If you put rubbish bags and bins or any recycling on the street for collection, you must do so at the set times on the set collection days for the street you operate on. These times and days are set out in the table below.
Do not put out commercial waste on the street outside of these times.

Please note, that if rubbish is put out on a Sunday, you may be fined.
Timed collections do not affect businesses who use bins which are permanently stored within their property boundary, that is, if they do not put their bin out on the street for collection.
If your bin is placed on the highway for collection by a private waste contractor, this must be done during the times set out above or you may face a fine for leaving waste on the street.
