Reusable nappies, also known as ‘real nappies’ are an excellent alternative to single use disposable nappies with many benefits for parents, babies and our environment. An average of 6,000 babies are born in Newham every year. If each of them used approximately 5,000 single-use nappies over 2.5 years, 30 million nappies would be thrown away into our waste stream.
