Your invitation to a Covid-19 Omicron Q&A session and Newham Health Recovery launch.
Tomorrow (8 December 2021) marks one year since the first Londoner received the Covid-19 vaccination, and I know that as a community here in Newham, we have come so far in the past two years since the start of the pandemic.
We have been working together to keep each other safe and I know that we continue to do so in this time of challenge with the new Covid-19 variant of concern, Omicron.
That’s why we are organising another Covid-19 and Omicron Q&A community session at 5.30pm this Thursday 9 December, which includes our Newham Health Recovery launch.
Covid-19 and Omicron Variant Q&A session’ at 5.30pm on Thursday 9 December.
After an update by our expert panel on the current Covid-19 and Omicron situation in Newham, there’ll be an opportunity for you to ask questions. We’ll then move onto the Newham Health Recovery plans which will set out many different ways we are working together with our local partners to support our residents to improve their health and wellbeing.
This meeting will be held via Zoom with our panel of top experts including:
- Jason Strelitz, Director of Public Health
- Dr Muhammed Naqvi, Newham GP and Chair of Newham CCG
- Dr Adeola Agbebiyi, Deputy Director of Public Health
You can register your attendance through the Council’s Eventbrite page: Following which you’ll receive your zoom details.
I really hope that you can join us on Thursday for another important set of discussion as we continue to work together to keep Newham safe.
Best wishes,
Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz OBE
