Officially launched on 6 February 2025, the state-of-the-art theatre opened its doors with Our Mighty Groove, a vibrant production by Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu.

Marking a major investment in East Bank, London’s newest cultural and educational district, Sadler’s Wells East will stand alongside internationally respected institutions such as BBC Music Studios, V&A East, UAL’s London College of Fashion, and UCL East. The venue will drive economic investment into the borough while nurturing artistic excellence.

Sadler’s Wells East boasts a 550-seat auditorium, six cutting-edge dance studios, and a public performance space offering free performances, as well as a restaurant and bar. With an ambitious opening season featuring 20 productions spanning hip hop, ballet, and contemporary, the venue will platform local artists, UK-based companies, and international choreographers.
