“As we mark one year on from the devastating events that unfolded on 7 October in Israel, and the human suffering that has occurred since; I continue to pray for peace in the region, a permanent ceasefire, with the return of hostages, and reconciliation towards a two-state solution.
“All people in the region deserve the hope of a better and peaceful future and for the long term.”
