Uma Kumaran elected as MP for Stratford and Bow, Stephen Timms elected as MP for East Ham, and James Asser elected as MP for West Ham and Beckton

Uma Kumaran has been elected as the Member of Parliament for Stratford and Bow, following the General Election which took place on Thursday 4 July 2024.  

Uma Kumaran of the Labour Party received a total of 19,145 votes, followed by Joe Hudson-small of Green Party, who received a total of 7,511 votes.

Halima Khan, Workers Party, received 3,274 votes, Kane Blackwell, Conservative Party, received 3,114 votes; Nizam Ali, Independent, received 2,380 votes; Jeff Evans, Reform UK, received 2,093 votes; Janey Little, Liberal Democrats, received 1,926 votes; Fiona Lali, Independent, received 1,791 votes; Omar Faruk, Independent, received 1,826 votes; Steve Hedley, Independent, received 375 votes.

There were 287 spoiled ballots. The turnout for the constituency was 54.18%.

Stephen Timms elected as MP for East Ham

Stephen Timms has been elected as the Member of Parliament for East Ham, following the General Election which took place on Thursday 4 July 2024. 

Stephen Timms of the Labour Party received a total of 19,570 votes, followed by Tahir Mirza, Independant, who received a total of 6,707 votes.

Rosie Pearce, Green Party, received 4,226 votes; Maria Higson, Conservative Party, received 3,876 votes; Daniel Oxley, Reform UK, received 1,340 votes; Hilary Briffa, Liberal Democrats, received 1,210 votes; Anand Sundar, Independent, received 578 votes; Sathish Ramadoss, Independant, received 385 votes.

There were 173 spoiled ballots. The turnout for the constituency was 48.05% per cent.

James Asser elected as MP for West Ham and Beckton

James Asser has been elected as the Member of Parliament for West Ham and Beckton, following the General Election which took place on Thursday 4 July 2024. 

James Asser of the Labour Party received a total of 16,434 votes, followed by Sophia Naqvi of the Newham Independents who received a total of 7,180 votes.

Rob Callender, Green Party, received 3,897 votes; Holly Ramsey, Conservative Party, received 3,781 votes; Georgie David, Reform UK, received 2,800 votes; Emily Bigland, Liberal Democrats, received 1,606 votes; Kayode Shedowo, Christian Peoples Alliance, received 460 votes; and Lois Austin, Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition, received 190 votes.

There were 149 spoiled ballots. The turnout for the constituency was 46.22% per cent.
