• Join a series of free events for Newham families and parents-to-be
We are inviting all Newham families to join us for a series of Family Hub Launch events taking place from Monday 24 to Saturday 29 July 2023.
Come along and hear about the services that we have available across the borough and have some fun with activities, entertainment and refreshments! We’ve got arts and crafts, magical stay and play, youth activities, smoothie making, henna/mehndi, face painting, a bouncy castle and much more!
Activities are taking place at Altmore Children’s Centre, East Ham Library and Plaistow Children’s Centre.
The Family Hubs Network provides a one stop shop for families to access information, advice and guidance and interactive activities and sessions for pregnant couples, babies, children and young people right up until they reach adulthood.
Councillor Sarah Ruiz, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services said: “Family Hubs have marked a real shift in the way we support and deliver services for our local people. The Family Hub concept is designed to act as a one stop shop to offer advice and guidance on a range of issues. This jam-packed week of events will help to showcase what’s available across the borough – all while offering families and young people the opportunity to have a great time.”
You can find out more about the Family Hubs, including what’s on and where during the week, via the Family Information Service website.
