- Housing Local Area Forums (formerly Tenant and Leaseholder Forums) are taking place throughout May and June 2023.
- Forums are a chance for residents to have their say, hear updates, set priorities and influence decision making.
Tenants and leaseholders of Newham Council are welcome to come along to the Housing Local Area Forum for their area. The forums provide residents with an opportunity to hear updates from senior managers across the Housing service and discuss priorities for their area. Senior managers from enforcement and caretaking/cleaning will so be attending.
Councillor Shaban Mohammed, Cabinet Member Housing Management and Modernisation said: "We have been working hard implementing our Housing Strategy to improve the quality and experience of housing in Newham. We recognise that listening to our residents will help us to provide the best housing services that we can. Housing Local Area forums are a great opportunity for residents to have their say and discuss the issues that matter to them. Come along to your local area forum - we want to hear from you."
One resident who recently visited a forum told us: “I would attend another Local Area Forum as I found it very useful and the staff were friendly. The forums were very helpful and gave me an opportunity to speak about my housing issues. I managed to talk to relevant officers about my housing issues.”
These forums will be delivered both in person and online. The details can be found below:
