If you are over 18, you can join Side By Side, an online community where you can listen, share and be heard by others.
 
Opening Doors is there to support LGBTQ+ people over 50 to live full, vibrant and respected lives free from isolation, loneliness, discrimination and prejudice.
 
Mumsnet is a great place to connect with other parents and carers. The website offers advice, knowledge and support to help make lives easier on everything from conception to childbirth and babies to teenagers.
 
Gransnet is a social networking site that offers a forum for over-50s to chat, debate, support each other and share a laugh.

Mind has information about dealing with loneliness and offers tips and advice on coping with these feelings.

If you are struggling, need some guidance or just need some ideas to help your mental health, then take the first step by completing our online self-referral form. Once completed one of our team will be in touch to book you an assessment with one of practitioners. Alternately, call 0208 175 1770 Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Newham Volunteers
Newham’s Volunteers Programme is open to everyone and a great way to give something back to the community. It doesn't matter if you can spare a little time, or a lot, there are lots of ways to get involved and improve your community and meet new people. Register to become a Volunteer or email enquiries to volunteers@newham.gov.uk 

Good Gym
GoodGym combines getting fit with doing good. Offering free sessions in which people can do some exercise while helping their community. Each session combines a run, walk or cycle with completing a practical task for a charity or older person. Typical tasks include changing smoke alarm batteries or lightbulbs for older people, or clearing gardens or painting fences for community centres. Call 02034323920 or email getinvolved@goodgym.org for more information
