Carers Resident Advisory Group

Join the Carers Resident Advisory Group to have your say. This is a voluntary opportunity to join a group of local carers to share your thoughts on how we can make improvements to the service. You will receive updates on the progress being made to support Carers and meetings will be held quarterly.

For more information and to sign up please email carersqueries@newham.gov.uk or visit the webpage here.

Emergency Plans

Newham’s Carers Emergency Card Scheme allows carers to prepare alternative support arrangements for the person that they care for, to be used when they are not able to carry out their caring responsibilities due to an emergency. All carers can join the Carers Emergency Card Scheme.

Once a carer joins the scheme, they are given a card which has a registration number and a telephone number that can be called in an emergency situation. This free service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
