Keeping our parks clean and safe
We want to keep all our parks clean, safe and enjoyable for residents and visitors of all ages. We regularly maintain the parks and our community safety teams are key to addressing any concerns that do arise.
Park maintenance
We are responsible for the maintenance of parks and open spaces in Newham. This includes looking after:
- Grass areas, flower beds, shrub beds and trees
- Sports pitches and play areas
- Fences, gates, paths and outdoor furniture
- Litter bins and all cleansing of parks and open spaces.
How to contact us to report problems
All reports of anti-social behaviour or harassment are taken seriously and will be treated as confidential by the Police and Newham Council.
- Report anti-social behaviour concerns to Newham Council on 020 8430 2000 or online.
- Criminal activity can be reported anonymously to CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111
- Non-emergency activity can be reported to the police through the non-emergency by calling 101
- Love Newham is our free smartphone app and website that allows you to report environmental issues directly to the Council. Report damage or where repairs are need in the park on our Love Newham page or search for Love Newham in your app store
