Samuel Wilson's Loan Trust

Samuel Wilson's Loan Trust is a charity which offers business loans to young people aged 18-39 who are "in need by reason of ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantages" to establish and develop new businesses.

The maximum loan is £50,000 starting at 2% interest. Please note that, as part of the application process, a robust business plan with detailed and realistic financial forecasts is required.

Royal Docks Good Growth Fund

The Royal Docks Good Growth Fund is for public, private and third-sector organisations – including local groups and charities which work closely with the local community. This includes creating workspaces, building skills, enhancing public spaces and more.

Modelled on the Mayor of London’s successful £70 million Good Growth Fund – which was launched in 2017 – the Royal Docks Good Growth Fund is targeted to the specific needs of the area and will help local organisations deliver projects to make the area a more attractive place to live, work, visit and invest.

The British Business Bank Recovery Loan Scheme

The Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS) has been extended to June 2024. This scheme helps businesses access finance so that they can manage their cashflow, invest and grow.

Key features include:
  • borrowing of up to £2m per business
  • support with term loans, overdrafts, asset finance and invoice finance facilities
  • minimum term is three months and the maximum is six years (this may vary from lender to lender)
  • you can still apply even if you previously secured a CBILS, CLBILS, BBLS or RLS loan.
