Massage and special treatment licence

Apply for a massage and special treatment licence

Licences are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

  1. How to apply - Download and complete the application form (PDF)
  2. Complete a fire risk assessment and give us a basic plan of your premises - which you should send with your application 
  3. Send everything to us, along with original copies of the relevant qualifications of each therapist and the correct fee

Processing your application

We send copies of your application and floor plan to the Metropolitan Police and the London Fire Brigade. 

When we have received your application form and documentation, we will contact you to arrange an inspection of your premises. This inspection is to make sure that your premises meet the standards in the licensing conditions and health and safety regulations.

Tacit consent

Tacit consent does not apply. This means that we will issue your licence only when we have received all your documents, made all the necessary checks, carried out the inspection and we are satisfied that your premises meet the required standards.
