Book a citizenship ceremony
The process for booking citizenship ceremonies has changed.
Once we receive your citizenship certificate from the Home Office, we will automatically schedule you for the next available free group ceremony. You will receive an email confirmation with the details.
If you prefer a private ceremony, please email us at register.office@newham.gov.uk to arrange this. Please note that a private ceremony incurs an additional fee of £150.00.
Important Information:
- You must attend your citizenship ceremony before your invitation expires.
- If your invitation has expired (or will expire before you or a member of your group can attend), please contact us at register.office@newham.gov.uk or notify the Home Office Citizenship Support team at Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk to request an extension.
- If you are over 18, attendance at the ceremony is mandatory.
- Children under 18 are not required to attend, as parents can collect their certificates on their behalf. However, their names must be included in the attendees list.”
