Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF)
Discover fun activities for children and young people (4 to 16 years of age), including those with special educational needs (SEND, up to 18) happening in Newham, over the Christmas school holidays.
Funded by the Department of Education for families receiving benefits related free school meals, a range of local clubs across Newham are providing opportunities for your child/young person to meet new friends, learn something new, stay active and eat a nutritious meal.
Activities include multi sports, dance, music programmes, arts and crafts, drama, cookery sessions and much more, to suit different ages, abilities and interests.
All universal clubs are inclusive for children and young people with high functioning SEN needs, as well as disabilities. We also have specialist organisations for those children and young people who require specialist support. Each club will assess their suitability to provide sufficient support, based on your child/young person’s needs on a case-by-case basis.
Familes can choose more than one Club. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please be mindful when booking a provision for your child/young person, as spaces are limited and therefore booking a space which is not used could result in someone missing out on the opportunity to attend. Children/young people who fail to attend twice without notifying the provider will have the remainder of their bookings cancelled and the space will be offered to someone on the waiting list.
